CERTIFICATION
Membership of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons (MFDS) is a postgraduate diploma for surgeons in the UK and Ireland. Obtaining this qualification allows a doctor to become a member of one of the four surgical colleges in the UK and Ireland.
MFDS is two part assessment:-
Part 1 consists of 150 Single Best Answer (SBA) questions within a single three-hour paper. The questions carry equal marks. The exam is not negatively marked and there are no trick questions. An example question can be found in section 5 of the
Part 2 examination is a two-and-a-half hour objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) circuit, compromising 14 stations designed to assess clinical competence in the delivery of dental healthcare by a clinician with a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification training and experience.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Equivalent of a PHD’s degree from the supreme council of Egypt universities
.Without the MFDS, you will find it difficult to pass more than 90% in all specialized fellowship exams such as mroth / mrd
